Let’s get this out of the way:

I’m not here to “future-proof” you.

I’m not here to 10x your productivity, optimize your funnel (whatever that actually is), or convince you that ChatGPT is your new best friend.

I’m here because I spent nearly 30 years in Corporate America thinking I’d retire from the same company - until burnout and a layoff said otherwise.

What followed?

A delightful mix of financial panic, midlife reinvention, and Googling things like “how to start a business when you’re tired and skeptical.”

Somewhere in there, AI showed up.

AI: Not the Enemy. Not the Answer. But Possibly Useful.

If you’ve been avoiding AI because:

  • You’re overwhelmed

  • You’re tired

  • Some guy named Phil once explained it in a way that made you feel stupid

I hear you.

But here’s what no one told me (and what I’ll now tell you):

AI isn’t tech. It’s language.

And you already know how to use that.

Emails?

To-do lists?

Late-night overthinking sessions where you mentally rewrite conversations?

That’s prompting.

AI just responds faster. And with fewer passive-aggressive undertones.

What AI Can Actually Help You Do

  • Organize the thoughts you’re too tired to wrangle.

  • Draft the email you’ve been avoiding.

  • Write a LinkedIn post without feeling like you’re oversharing.

  • Remember that you are, in fact, still capable of learning new things.

Why Midlife Women Avoid AI

Because it feels like a club we weren’t invited to.

Because tech “training” assumes we’re either 25 or a software engineer.

Because the last thing we need is another dashboard.

And because asking for help once resulted in a 23-year-old saying, “It’s intuitive.”

(Reader, it was not.)

What I Built Instead

I created AI Confidential - safe, small, non-judgy sessions where midlife women learn AI like it’s a new kitchen gadget: useful, simple, and occasionally life-saving.

Then, for those who want more?

There’s Joy Prompt Club - a playful community where we turn AI into a creativity tool, not a corporate weapon.

And behind it all is The Unexamined Mind - my accidental business after nearly three decades of corporate life.

Want the Full Story?

If you’re looking for:

  • Honest stories from someone who spent nearly 30 years inside Corporate America and finally said, “Enough.”

  • Clear-eyed commentary from someone who understands corporate trends - and is tired of the jargon, the hypocrisy, and the exclusion it protects.

  • Proof that you’re not too old, too late, or too tired to burn the old rules and build something human, curious, and real…

Mostly Human is where you’ll find me.

Not promising easy answers.

Definitely not selling hustle culture.

But if you’re ready to rethink what work - and life - can look like in the AI age?

I’ll meet you there.
