The story goes like this:

Roman men couldn’t get wives.

So they threw a party - and stole them.

Later, those women stepped between their captors and their fathers to stop a war.

And somehow, that’s the part we turned into art.

Pain → painted.

Abduction → allegory.

Coercion → the origin of Rome.

It’s a story told for centuries to justify power.

Because when the victors write history, it’s always edited for comfort.

Which makes me wonder:

What myths are we living through right now?

What will the next generation read about this moment -

this return of Trump,

this rewriting of rights,

this era of algorithmic truth?

Will they see how many of us tried to stop the harm?

Or will they only see the murals?

History has a way of softening sharp edges -

unless someone documents what actually cut.

So I’m documenting.

Not to win.

But to make sure the truth doesn’t start with a party and end with a crown.
